The Moms Club offers many different ways to get connected to your neighbors throughout the Lakewood community, and to meet other moms nearby. We encourage all moms to get involved and to participate in the club. There are many different ways to get involved such as serving as an officer or chair person, attending daytime playgroups, moms nights out, or helping to plan any of our special events that happen throughout the year. Take a look below at what we have to offer, and take a step to join the Lakewood Moms Club... Where Neighbors Become Friends.
MOMS NIGHT OUT
Once a month our Moms meet up at a new restaurant or movie for some Moms Only social time. Its a different night of the week each month, to help accommodate everyone's busy schedules.
MOMS NIGHT IN
A happy mom is a good mom! Grab a bottle of wine and settle in for Moms Night In. You don’t always have to go out and spend a ton of money to experience a good night with your best lady friends. Put on your favorite PJs, and join us for a relaxing, stress-free night of viewing one of our favorite series on Netflix or watching a movie.
Let's be honest. A play date is as much for our kids as it is for our Moms! Play dates can help children learn to socialize, share, and just have fun with other kids their age. Interacting with other children can help improve his/her overall development and stimulate their imagination. Our Kids Event Chair is responsible for organizing activities, finding new events, and bringing our Moms and kids together for a fun and interactive day!
Some of our events for the kids include: Holiday Parties, Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Pumpkin Patch and carving events, and other monthly field trips.
Become involved with the Board! Once a month the officers and chairwomen get together to discuss the business and planning of the Moms Club.
There are times when moms simply need support during life's events. The Care Chair organizes meal calendars to help moms during times of births and bereavements.
We also like to celebrate our Moms! Birthdays are special occasions and our Care Chair honors each one by delivering a special treat!
Each year we host a Babysitters Event in order to connect Moms with local Babysitters who are available for hire in the area. Babysitters are encouraged to bring their business cards or resumes, and are also required to fill out a registration form to become listed on the LMC Babysitters Roster. To register please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We all know that sometimes it's easier to connect with other moms when your kids and husband are connecting too! Some of our most well-attended activities are the Social Events that happen throughout the year, which include the whole family! In past years we have held a Potluck with a kids magician, a Memorial Day potluck, a Chili Cookoff, attended a Royals game, held an ice cream social, and had an adults only Christmas party. We know that sometimes being a happy mom is a little easier when the whole family is happy!
